New Delhi, May 11 (ANI): Bollywood's upcoming romantic film 'Raanjhnaa', which stars Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush, was promoted in a complete desi style in Mumbai.
Making it one of its kind film promotions, the set was decorated in purely Banarasi style.
Speaking on the occasion, Tamil film actor Dhanush, who is making his Bollywood debut with the film, said that he decided to act in the film because of the script.
"The film chose me I did not chose the script, because it came to me and I did not see the film or script as a Hindi film or a Tamil film or a Telgu film but I saw it as a film, I saw it as a script, I really liked it," he said.
"I thought it was my comfortable area, my type and I thought I can do it well, so I chose the script and it was not that easy because of the language but I think it's all fallen in place," Dhanush added.
Meanwhile, Kapoor, who is playing the role of a Muslim girl from Banaras, said that this role is closest to what she is in real life and she did not find it tough at all.
"Every character is difficult but I think Zoya is the closest to what I am in real life, so it wasn't that tough. It was just about being honest," she said.
With a Banarasi love story and A.R. Rahman music, this film is all set to hit the theaters on 21st June. (ANI)
