New Delhi, May 6 (ANI): Defence Minister A.K. Antony has said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating the recruitment scam in NDA.
"Some allegations regarding malpractices in the recruitment of Group 'C' employees of NDA have been brought to the notice. Officers suspected to be involved have been placed under suspension and CBI is investigating the matter," he said in a written reply to Balkrishna K. Shukla in Lok Sabha today.
The CBI had last year raided 17 locations in Mumbai, Sonepat and Gurgaon in Haryana and 14 in Pune, including the NDA, and recovered Rs.17.60 million and incriminating documents.
Those arrested have been accused of indulging in a recruitment scam involving lower level appointments like gardeners, cooks, clerks, cadet orderlies and lab and library attendants in May-June last year. (ANI)
