New Delhi, May 6 (ANI): The second half of the Budget Session of Parliament continued to face disruptions on Monday, as the opposition refused to allow any debate or transaction of business, citing various issues on which it could not agree with the government.
The Lok Sabha had to be adjourned till 3 p.m., while the Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day.
Earlier, both Houses were adjourned till 2 p.m., as opposition members continued to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Law and Justice Minister Ashwani Kumar and Railway Minister P K Bansal.
The demand for the Prime Minister and Kumar's resignations was over their respective roles in the coal block allocation scam, while the demand for Bansal's resignation was over a bribery case involving his nephew.
As soon as the Lok Sabha reassembled after the first adjournment at noon, members belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) rushed into the well of the House.
Samajwadi Party members also rushed to the well demanding the implementation of Sachar Committee report on minorities.
Shiromani Akali Dal members demanded reopening of the 1984 Delhi riots case.
In the Rajya Sabha, BJP members rushed to the well raising slogans against Railway Minister without naming him.
Prior to this, both Houses witnessed an hour-long adjournment on the same issues. (ANI with inputs)
