LiLo avoids arrest by last minute check-in into rehab

Washington, Sat, 04 May 2013 ANI

Washington, May 4 (ANI): Lindsay Lohan got admitted at the Betty Ford Clinic shortly before the court-mandated midnight deadline ended and avoided getting arrested.

Her attorney Shawn Holley convinced prosecutors to let the troubled star return to enroll in a rehab facility in Southern California, and not Morningside Recovery, Radar Online reported.

A source said that the 26-year-old actress' former attorney, Shawn Holley, was officially brought back on the case after she called her all day on Thursday.

The source asserted that Holley had been able to convince prosecutors that she was taking rehab seriously, but her former attorney, Mark Heller, bungled everything.

Earlier, Lohan bolted from Morningside on Thursday morning, telling the facility's staff that she did not need rehab as Heller, at the same time, told Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney that Lohan was settling in at the venue.

The source said that right now, Lohan is focused on getting better and wants the drama to end, and that is why she fired Heller.

The insider said that Lohan told Holley that she would sell a body party if the lawyer would take her on as a client again.

The insider added that Holley agreed, and Lohan appreciates everything she has done for her. (ANI)
