New Delhi, May 1 (ANI): Senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D.Raja on Wednesday said the Chinese intrusion issue doesn't warrant the cancellation of External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid's visit to China on May 9.
"Definitely, no incident should be ignored, but any incident should not be blown out of proportion, which can lead to straining our relationship, which can lead to escalation of tension on our borders and as you say, this situation, as of now, doesn't warrant the cancellation of the External Affairs Minister's visit to China," he said.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yashwant Sinha, while speaking about the Chinese character, said, "Everywhere, their policy is to demoralize their opponent through pin pricks. This is what we must realize, this is the Chinese character. You are going on this street, I am going on this street and suddenly I come and give you a slap only to demoralise you. This is what they are doing. How do you deal with a bully, by not submitting to the bully?
Security expert Bharat Verma criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and talked extensively about the impotency of the government, saying: " The land that it (China) is gaining and the third flag meeting, which failed, just had to happen. This is so because because India, doesn't have a plan and is very weak. Our Prime Minister has put the country on stake in front of China. India has been defeated badly at the strategic level." (ANI)
