New Delhi, May 1 (ANI): Tremors were felt in the national capital and parts of northern India on Wednesday.
The tremors were felt around 12.35 p.m, and according to initial estimates, measured 5.7 to 5.8 on the Richter Scale.
Reports said that tremors were also felt in Srinagar and on the Wagah-Attari land border that separates India and Pakistan in Punjab.
The meteorological department said that the epicentre of the tremor was in the Zanskar Range in Jammu and Kashmir is yet to be ascertained.
Wednesday"s tremors come 15 days after a similar experience, which was casued by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake along the Iran-Pakistan border.
Those tremors were felt at around 4: 19 p.m. on April 16
People in the national capital preferred walking out of their offices and residences. (ANI)
