London, Apr 30 (ANI): Australian golf legend Greg Norman has criticised golf's anti-doping policies, saying that sport needed to clean up its act by overcoming the lack of blood testing.
This came after Fijian golf ace Vijay Singh admitted taking a deer-antler spray containing a banned substance in January, although the former World No 1 is continuing to play on the PGA Tour as the hormone was never detected due to the sport's lack of blood testing, the Mirror reports.
Calling the anti-doping policies as 'disgraceful', Norman said that it is difficult to find out how deep doping in embedded in the sport as they carry out only urine analysis instead of blood testing.
Meanwhile, R and A chief executive Peter Dawson has again defended taking the Open back to men-only Muirfield in July, the report added. (ANI)
