Amritsar/ Lahore, April 29 (ANI): Well-wishers of Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh, who is in coma, prayed for his speedy recovery at the Golden Temple on Monday and hoped that he would be allowed to return to India for medical treatment.
"We prayed to our lord that he recovers from his injuries soon. We also hope the Government of Pakistan should thoroughly examines the demands of his family and sends him back to India for medical treatment," said, Giani Gurbachan Singh of the Golden Temple.
The Pakistan Government however, has said that Sarabjit Singh's treatment will continue at Lahore's Jinnah hospital.
Ajit Singh Bagga, another well-wisher, said condemned the assault saying, " Pakistan is repeatedly conducting small attacks on India, and demanded the Indian Government react strongly to such incidents."
Earlier, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tiwari called on Pakistan to cooperate fully in the treatment of Sarabjit Singh.
"For a very long time we have been trying to get Sarabjit Singh back. Whatever has happened is very unfortunate. We are expecting cooperation from the Pakistan High Command." (ANI)
