Sydney, Apr. 28 (ANI): Ricky Ponting is selling, Steve Waugh has bought and Michael Clarke is looking at the real estate market of southern Sydney.
Last week, former test cricket captain Ponting listed his waterfront mansion for about 5 million dollars and last year, retired fast bowler Glenn McGrath listed his 3400 sqm house in Cronulla for more than 5 million dollars. He couldn't find a buyer and the five-bedroom house was quietly taken off the market, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
With two sales above 5.5 million dollars in Burraneer last year, listing agent Sean Egan from McGrath Sutherland Shire is sure that Ponting's pad will sell well.
It is believed that former Australian test captain Waugh, having been on the hunt for a waterfront property for more than a year, forked out about 4 million dollars for a five-bedroom beachfront mansion in Taloombi Street, Cronulla.
The house was originally listed for more than 4.8 million dollars, however, the agent, Greg Gilbert of Greg Gilbert Real Estate, refused to say if Waugh bought the property, but he said that there was a community of sports folk living along the waterfront.
According to local agents, a property dubbed "the spaceship" was built and finished the same year as the Opera House and has changed hands only once in the past 4 decades and may suit cricket captain Michael Clarke who has been inspecting top end properties in the Shire.
The six-bedroom house with 1970s space age interiors is expected to sell for about 3.5 million dollars. (ANI)
