Shimla, April 28 (ANI): A private aided educational institute organised a fashion show over the weekend here with an aim to encourage budding models and designers of the state.
Over 50 models and designers participated in the fashion show at a gala event.
Promising models of the region cat walked down the ramp in both traditional and western outfits.
Suneet Agnihotri, one of the organisers of show, said the main motto of the program was to encourage rural talent in the field of fashion and designing.
Starting from Shimla, the fashion show will move to different corners of the state.
"This is a first. When we participate on such platforms, we can display our talent and further our careers. There is a chance for us to be selected for events like the Lakme Fashion Week," said Shweta Verma, one of the participants.
Such initiatives give a platform for the young talent living in far flung areas and remote corners of the state to showcase their works. (ANI)
