New Delhi, April 15 (ANI): A group of twenty students from Arunachal Pradesh called on President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.

Welcoming the students, Mukherjee said experiencing the rich and diverse culture of our country would help them understand and assimilate the notion of 'Indianness'. He expressed the hope that exposure to India's shared cultural heritage would instill in them a sense of pride in their motherland.

The students were in Delhi as part of the Civic Action Programme conducted by the ITBP in north eastern states.

The President complimented the Indo Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) for taking the initiative to provide such an exposure to students belonging to the border regions of the country. (ANI)
