New Delhi, April 13 (ANI): Denmark Ambassador, Freddy Svane, met senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Lal Krishna Advani on Saturday in New Delhi.
India and Denmark share cordial relations, and there have been high level visits between the two countries.
The first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who visited the country in 1957, laid the foundation for a friendly relationship between India and Denmark.
Denmark, with a population of more than five million, is considered to be the 32nd largest economy in the world with a GDP of more than $330 billion.
In 2011, India's exports to Denmark were US$ 992, an increase of 36 percent from the exports in 2010.
The major investments made by Denmark in India have been made in sectors like harbour modernisation and expansion, beer breweries, wind turbine or rotor blade manufacturing, agro-intermediates and in insecticides and the engineering sector. (ANI)
