Kolkata, Apr 9 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the industry captains on the issue of 'vibrant growth model' here on Tuesday.
The Gujarat Chief Minister's much-awaited interface with Bengal industry captains comes at a time when his West Bengal counterpart is out of the city and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in the national capital to seek economic justice for her state.
The session will be jointly organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Bharat Chamber of Commerce (BCC) and MCC Chamber of Commerce and Industry at a city hotel.
This morning as he visited the famous Dakshineshwar temple, the Gujarat Chief Minister smiled and waved, much at home.
Briefly talking to reporters, Modi expressed happiness over visiting the temple and reliving memories.
"I have been to the temple on several occasions earlier but today I have come here after a long time. I am happy to visit it and offer my prayers to goddess 'Kali'. I feel very relieved after coming here and offering my prayers," said Modi.
Meanwhile, Banerjee, along with other state ministers, left for Delhi the day Modi has arrived. She went to attend a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for seeking monetary package for her debt-ridden state.
Banerjee yesterday stated that West Bengal is the top performing state in the country, and said that she would lodge a protest against the economic blockade by the Centre during her meeting with the Prime Minister. (ANI)
