New Delhi, Apr 7 (ANI): Incumbency, crumbling alliance, confusion on leadership and failed governance would highlight the downfall of the ruling Congress Party come 2014 Lok Sabha polls, according to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Union lawmaker and spokesperson of BJP, Prakash Javadekar said this at a news conference in New Delhi on Sunday.
He further said the Congress Party would draw a drubbing in urban centres and states such as Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal where the BJP had performed very well last time round.
"It is very clear that Congress is facing complete washout in Rajasthan, Haryana and in urban centres where they got unexpectedly more seats last time. So it is the incumbency, crumbling alliance, confusion on leadership and failed governance is what is happening on the Congress' front," he said.
He also stated that it is all set for the national polls, as it could happen before its schedule in April-May 2014 due to fragile situation.
He also elaborated their mechanics and their way ahead saying, "Our chief Rajnath Singh advises us to spruce up the organisation as the elections for the Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament) can take place anytime in this political situation. Everybody said, 'we are ready'."
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) -- two key allies of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government-led by the Congress Party - have pulled out, weakening the Union government to minority. (ANI)
