Ahmedabad, Apr 6 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister and a member of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) newly formulated Central Parliamentary Board, Narendra Modi on Saturday in Ahmedabad attacked Rahul Gandhi's 'beehive' comment saying, "For you (Congress) India may be a beehive, but for us India is our mother."
On the occasion of the 33rd foundation day of the BJP, Modi said, "Today we have completed 32 years of our glorious history. BJP came into existence when nation was going through difficult times."
Coming hard at the ruling Congress charismatic Modi said, " Everyone who splashes mud on BJP should realise that more you splash mud on us, the more lotuses there will be."
He further said, "Won't hesitate in putting more effort, the nation is above all. We are committed to the development of the nation."
He also said, "People of Gujarat punished Congress in the last election. There is an existing water crisis in this country and the Congress leaders are ignorant of it."
He added, "Credit for success goes to party workers. If they had not toiled and walked on the path of development who would have known me."
Earlier in the gathering, countering ruling Congress' statement which compared Narendra Modi to 'yamraj', the Lord of Death in Hindu mythology, BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, "Yes, NarendraBhai is yamraj but only for those who had and have been adopting terrorism, corruption and conspiracies against the nation. Congress has rightly seen Modi ji in the form of yamraj as he will prove to be so for them in coming general elections." (ANI)
