London, Apr. 3 (ANI): New York's Dow Jones and SandP 500 share indexes have climbed to new all-time highs.
The Dow rose 89 points, to close at 14,662, after an earlier intraday high of about 14,684. The previous record high of 14,285 was set in March.
The broader SandP 500 closed at a record high of 1,570, suggesting investors are regaining confidence in the US economy, the BBC reports.
The rallies mean the stock markets are returning to levels not seen since before the global financial crisis.
According to the report, the Dow has more than doubled in value since it plummeted to less than 6,550 points in the depth of the crisis in March 2009.
The rally came after a US Department of Commerce report showed that new orders for manufactured goods rose three percent in February, topping predictions, the report added. (ANI)
