Mumbai, Mar 31 (ANI): Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan launched the latest issue of a lifestyle fashion magazine featuring him on the cover page, in showbiz capital Mumbai, over the weekend.

Speaking on the occasion, Bachchan said he still prefers printed magazines and books to their electronic online versions.

"Ever since the internet has come, it has become faster and more communicative. People get to know news even before perhaps journalists. But I still feel that there is room, and there is great value at holding up a magazine or a book and going through it, rather than something that comes to you on your laptop or your computer," the actor said.

The cover launch of lifestyle fashion magazine 'Society' was held at a glittering ceremony here.

Bachchan was also candid about his views on the changing dynamics of media.

This year also commemorates the 100 years of Indian cinema and on this, Bachchan said that it felt great to see the Indian film industry becoming the largest in the world.

"Our films and our film industry has become a parallel culture in the country, not only in our country, but outside as well. Wherever we go, we see that our film industry is famous. We fell proud of this fact, and I feel fortunate that I have been a small part of this great film industry," he said.

The septuagenarian actor also talked about his favourite actors in Bollywood of which he gave special mention to Dilip Kumar.

Bachchan, one of the highest paid actors in the country, is currently working on director Prakash Jha's film titled 'Satyagraha', where he plays a social activist. (ANI)
