Thai Airways announces three new India services

New Delhi, March 20 (IANS) Thai Airways Wednesday announced direct non-stop flights from New Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad to two key cities in the south-east Asian country with a tariff to cater to the growing traffic between the two countries.

The flights will ply twice a week from March 31 with an introductory offer of Rs.20,430 for a return ticket on New Delhi-Phuket service, Rs.18,165 for the Mumbai-Phuket sector and Rs.17,425 for Ahmedabad to Bangkok in the economy-class cabin.

The service is being launched under the Thai Smile brand, which has a fleet of all-new Airbus A320 aircraft, with a two-class configuration of 16 seats on business and 156 on economy.

Thai Airways runs 52 flights a week to India and has been operating to the country for the past 52 years starting with Kolkata. It already had operations from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore, apart from seasonal services to Varanasi and Gaya.
