New Delhi, March 8 (IANS) Vice President Hamid Ansari Friday said there is a need to move beyond symbolism as far as women's issues are concerned and the mindset of society should change.
"We have to move beyond symbolism as far as women's issues are concerned. I would like the mindset of the society to change," Ansari said during an interaction with women reporters here on International Women's Day.
Replying to a question on the Dec 16 Delhi gang-rape, Ansari said the root cause behind such crimes was the attitude and that had to change.
