New Delhi, March 6 (IANS) An additional 1,700 Delhi Transport Corp (DTC) buses will hit the road by the end of this year, said an official Wednesday.
"Around 1,700 buses, including 375 air-conditioned, will ply on various routes by the end of this year," S.K. Jha, secretary to the Transport Minister told IANS.
The fleet was being expanded to improve the frequency of buses on some routes, he said.
Nearly 3,106 DTC buses ply on 750 routes in the capital daily.
