London, Feb 28 (ANI): Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas has urged his team to repeat their fantastic performance during their 3-1 win over arch-rivals Barcelona at Camp Nou against Manchester United in the second leg of their pre-quarterfinal Champions League clash at Old Trafford on March 5.
Barca looked favourites heading into the cup semi-final second leg having drawn 1-1 at the Bernabeu, but they were swept aside as two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and another from Raphael Varane helped Madrid win 3-1 on the night and 4-2 on aggregate, the Telegraph reports.
Madrid now face a similar situation in the Champions League, having drawn 1-1 at home with United in the first leg of their last-16 tie, and Casillas wants his side to replicate last night's performance at Old Trafford next Tuesday.
Casillas said they have to transfer this to the match against United, adding it is also 1-1 and they have to score and keep a clean sheet, and that is the aim that they are going with.
The Spanish custodian added Ronaldo is vital for them, adding right now the Portuguese is in sensational form and gives the team his maximum
Casillas further said they have a 1-1 draw from the first leg against United and they have to score and keep a clean sheet, adding it will be difficult as they also know how to play and their ground is tough to play at, but they have to transfer what they did here at Camp Nou to Old Trafford. (ANI)
