Onir feels entertainment shouldn't be regressive (Movie Snippets)

Mumbai, Feb 27 (IANS) Filmmaker Onir, known for making issue-based films like "My Brother Nikhil" and "I AM", feels that entertainment should not be backward in its approach.

"I have nothing against entertainment as long as it is not regressive. Sometime we pass on regressive thoughts in our movies," Onir told IANS.

My off-screen chemistry with Sonal very strong: Neil

Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh dodges questions of his linkup with "3G" co-star Sonal Chauhan, but admits that he shares a strong bonding with her in real life.

"My off-screen chemistry with Sonal is very strong. I don't know what you guys have read on Twitter," Neil said.

"As far as on-screen chemistry is concerned, she is a great person. She is very strong, gorgeous and a brilliant actress. Besides she is a great friend," he added.

Neil dedicates the film to his father, singer Nitin Mukesh and his nephew, who are huge horror movie buffs.

Co-directed by Sheershak Anand and Shantanu Ray Chhibber, "3G" is slated for a March 15 release.

Finally, 'Dedh Ishqiya' on the floor, cast excited

The shooting of filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj's "Dedh Ishqiya" began Wednesday and the cast, including Madhuri Dixit and Arshad Warsi, is over the moon.

"First day on the shoot for 'Dedh Ishqiya'. Should be a beautiful day," Madhuri tweeted.

The film is a sequel to Vidya Balan-starrer 2010 critically acclaimed "Ishqiya". In the sequel, while Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad reprise their roles, Madhuri steps into the shoes of Vidya. It is directed by Abhishek Chaubey.

Arshad also tweeted: "Today we start shooting for DEDH ISHQIYA... As I had said, I am nervous and excited. Need your support and wishes."
