Fraserganj (West Bengal), Feb. 25 (ANI): In the wake of various objections from the different state governments and political parties against the proposed National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Monday said that West Bengal Chief Minister is positive on the issue.
"I talked to her also on the NCTC issue and she is positive about it," said Shinde, while talking to reporters after meeting Banerjee here in South 24-Parganas district.
West Bengal Chief Minister had earlier objected on the creation of NCTC on certain issues related to states autonomy.
Shinde reiterated that the Centre was keen to introduce the NCTC to firmly deal with terrorism and said that the he had already told the Rajya Sabha that the Centre would go ahead and do it.
The NCTC, which has regained importance following the Hyderabad twin blasts last week, has been opposed by several states on the ground that law and order was a state subject. (ANI)
