New Delhi, Feb 23 (IANS) A 29-year-old woman died and three members of her family, including her two-year-old daughter, were injured after the car they were travelling in collided with a stationary truck Saturday morning, police said.
The incident took place near a Metro station in west Delhi's Mundka.
The victims were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where Rajkumari was declared dead. Her daughter Amrit is in critical condition.
The victim's husband, Parvinder, 32, and father-in-law, Om Singh, 56, were also injured in the accident, but are reportedly out of danger.
Parvinder, who is posted as a branch manager in Indus Bank in Haryana's Bahadurgarh, was returning from New Delhi railway station after receiving his wife, daughter and father, who had arrived in Delhi from Rajasthan Saturday morning.
"When he reached near the Mundka metro station, he lost control over his Indica car and collided with a stationary truck," said a police officer.
The truck driver, Nikku, has been arrested.
