Bahrain delegation visits Kerala Technopark

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 21 (IANS) A high-level delegation from the Kingdom of Bahrain visited the Technopark here Thursday to explore possible ways of association.

The delegation was led by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Essa Khalif, advisor to Crown Prince of Bahrain Sheikh Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.

The delegation was accompanied by Sanjaya Baru, former media advisor to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and at present director for geo-economics and strategy, International Institute for Strategic Studies.

The delegation was taken through a presentation at the IT parks in the state and on the investment opportunities in Kerala.

Later, they went around the Technopark campus.

"Sheikh Mohammed Bin Essa Khalif was really impressed by the infrastructure facilities available in Technopark and assured that he would appraise on the facilities to the Crown Prince of Bahrain," an official said.

The delegation from Bahrain also met Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and the State Planning Board Vice-Chairman K.M. Chandrashekhar.
