Johannesburg, Feb 13 (ANI): Cricket South Africa (CSA) has launched a new Twenty20 event in the country in association with RAM Hand-to-Hand Couriers, which is also one of its latest major sponsors.
Looking forward to CSA's association with RAM, acting CEO Jacques Faul said that this would be one of their most lucrative franchise properties as the T20 is the most popular domestic competitions for Proteas fans, Sport24 reports.
He added that along with the prestige of winning the RAM SLAM, this would provide CSA's franchises to qualify for the Champions League tournament.
According to Faul, the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge would provide CSA with the opportunity to innovate and create new concepts which would be exciting for fans.
Explaining about some of the ideas, Faul said one of the innovations for the new event would be the RAM Glam Cam, under which any fan wearing a superhero outfit in red could pin an iPod on the spot during each match day if he/she is spotted by the Ram Glam crew.
Another of the new ideas is the RAM SLAM Hand, under which the first 200 patrons through the gate at each match day will receive a Ram Slam Giant Mint, according to Faul.
The challenge would be starting on Friday with the Dolphins playing the defending champions, and the Titans in a day/night fixture at Kingsmead. (ANI)
