Kohima, Feb 10 (ANI): The first-ever fashion magazine from Nagaland called 'Ramp' was recently launched here.
The magazine deals with fashion events, top models, designers' latest collections and much more.
The brain behind this venture is 35-year-old N. Esther Longchar. Longchar, who hails from Aonokpu, a small village in Mokokchung district, has a passion for fashion.
"It was my passion to start to execute my inspiration in Ramp. I know there are hurdles in the beginning. It's not a small but a big thing. But the constant strength from my parents and well-wishers helped me a lot," said Longchar.
With the decline of militant activities, various sectors have opened up in Nagaland and in other northeastern states.
Fashion is one of them, and the youth of the region can now think of a career in the industry. With the inception of 'Ramp', many budding models have got a break. Arenly Jamir is one such model.
"Our publisher inspired me and she encouraged me to be part of this family. I feel awesome and honored to be with her and all the team mates," said Jamir.
Nagaland has many talented youth who are a part of the fashion world such as Jamir. (ANI)
