New Delhi, Feb 8 (ANI): India on Friday rejected the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s suggestion of allowing the OIC fact-finding mission to Jammu and Kashmir and said it has no 'locus standi' on matters concerning the internal affairs of the country or the recent incidents along the Line of Control (LoC).
External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said this in response to a question regarding the statement made by Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar at the recently concluded OIC Contact Group meeting on Jammu and Kashmir held in Cairo.
"The OIC has no locus standi on matters concerning the internal affairs of India or the recent incidents on the LoC," he said.
"We have already clarified that UMOGIP has no relevance in regard to the latter. The propagandist suggestions made in the Foreign Minister's statement are neither new nor helpful," he added. (ANI)
