'In form' Suarez hints would leave Liverpool if club fails to qualify for Champions' League

London , Thu, 07 Feb 2013 ANI

London, Feb 7 (ANI): In form Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has hinted that he may leave the club if they fail to qualify for the Champions' League, however, the Uruguayan added that he is content with life at Anfield.

Suarez, who has said that he will wait until the summer to decide his future, admitted that the lure of the Champions League is great, the Mirror reports.

The Uruguay national deplored that Liverpool is no longer in its former glorious position, and added that the current period is a changing time for the club with a different philosophy.

However, the forward added that the players are happy with the manager's instructions and said that the club needed to finish in the top four to qualify for the Champions League.

Suarez, whose Liverpool contract ends in 2018, also said that his team is young and growing, and added that they will be stronger as the team gets matured.

For Suarez though, the Champions League is a driving inspiration, and if Liverpool fails to qualify for the competition next season, then he would be faced with a real dilemma if Spanish champions Real Madrid presents him with a lucrative offer.

Suarez is on the radar of Madrid and Juventus, with both clubs certain to make moves for the young striker at the end of the season, while Bayern Munich are also reported to be keen. (ANI)
