Perth (Australia), feb.3 (ANI): Tasmanian all-rounder George Bailey's maiden international century (125) with ten boundaries and four sixes, and left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc's five wikets for 32 runs helped Australia to beat the West Indies in a one day international at the WACA here by 54 runs on Sunday.

Replying to Australia's score of 266 for the loss of seven wickets, the West Indies folded up for 212 in the second ODI, allowing the hosts to take a two nil lead.

At one time, Australia were precariously placed at 98 for the loss of six wickets, before Bailey stepped on the gas with an aggressive century that culminated in a competitive total of 7 for 266.

The West Indians struggled thereafter against Starc and Glenn Maxwell, who picked up four wickets.

For the West Indians, Kieran Powell made a fighting 83, but the visitors gave up in the 39th over. (ANI)
