New Delhi, Jan 30 (ANI): The first look of Oscar-nominated director Deepa Mehta's most awaited project 'Midnight children' based on the booker prize-winning novel of the same name by Salman Rushdie was launched in Mumbai recently.
The 65-year-old, who is on a promotional tour to India, is said to be very excited about the movie.
"Its very good to be here not just because it wasn't just me who was born here but also the idea of the film," he said.
Also present at the event was the cast and crew of the film along with director Deepa Mehta who shared how important this film is for her.
Mehta said that the reason she is making the movie on the novel was because it's a search for family, it's a search for identity and it's a search for home.
