New Delhi, Jan 27 (IANS) A bright Sunday sun in the capital lifted the spirits of residents who savoured its warmth on a pleasant day, which started on a nippy note. Monday may also be sunny but there could be fog in the early hours, the Met office said.
The maximum temperature Sunday was 22 degrees Celsius which was normal for this time of the season, said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
There was nip in the air but it could not deter the residents from going out and basking in the sun.
The minimum temperature settled two notches below average at 7 degrees Celsius, the official said.
"Monday will have a foggy start which will get cleared later in the day," said the official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures Monday are likely to hover around 22 and 8 degrees, respectively, the official said.
