New Delhi, Jan 17 (ANI): Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing Industries Tariq Anwar will represent India in the 5th Berlin Agriculture Ministers' Summit to be held later this week.
Besides participating in the Summit on January 19, Anwar will also participate in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture to be held on January 17-19 in Berlin itself.
The key topic for discussion in the Summit and the Global Forum this year is "Responsible Investment in Food and Agriculture - a key factor for food security and rural development".
Anwar will also meet Ilse Aiger, German Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection to discuss bilateral matters. He will also discuss matters relating to promoting agribusiness through PPP mode.
He will also hold discussions with Lehmann, Switzerland State Secretary on Responsible Agriculture Investment (RAI) in the context of the WTO negotiations and perspectives for bilateral agreement on agriculture on a free trade agreement. (ANI)
