New Delhi/Mumbai, Jan. 15 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Tuesday said that the government must not engage in any kind of dialogue with Pakistan as they have violated the treaty.
Joshi said India's policy towards Pakistan is very lenient.
"There are no reasons left for India to continue talks with Pakistan because in a treaty they had promised that they will not participate in any criminal activity from their land or the land captured by them. However, they entered in our territory and attacked our army. The Government of India must condemn this attack," he told the media in New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that India must not allow any players from Pakistan to come and play in the country.
"The government must not only sit and deliver patriotic lectures. They must do something like our party has done in Maharashtra. We chased away Pakistan's hockey team. I think all the players from Pakistan will b treated in the same way," he told the media in Mumbai.
According to sources, all the nine players from Pakistan who were representing the various teams in the Hockey India League tournament will not play in any of the matches and fly back to their country. The decision in this regard comes in the wake of aggressive protests by the Shiv Sena.
Shiv Sena party workers staged a protest at Mumbai Hockey Association's stadium in Mumbai on Sunday against the participation of four Pakistani players in a scheduled practise session of 'Mumbai Magicians' team.
Tension between the two Asian neighbours has escalated ever since Indian jawan Lance Naik Hemraj Singh was beheaded in an attack by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control on January 8.
Pakistan has so far denied India's claim that its troops crossed the Line of Control to ambush a patrol party in the Mendhar sector in Poonch district. (ANI)
