Kolkata, Jan.11 (ANI): The sixth edition of India Haat, a popular traditional exhibition, is currently on in Kolkata, and is attracting people from all walks of life.
The four-day exhibition, which is organised by the local Rotary Club Association, began on January 9, and is showcasing goods from across the country, Nepal, Italy and other nations.
The exhibition is quite popular among style lovers, especially among women who are regular customers of fashionable accessories and attire.
Most stalls are showcasing the works of local handicraft designers, including a wide range of sandals, clothing, junk jewellery and interior decorative items.
"This is the sixth edition of India Haat. It started in 2008. And every year, we make sure that we have a certain number of people from Kolkata, so that we can promote Kolkata designers and artists. And the rest, a certain percentage we keep for people from all over India. So, this year, we have people from Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Amritsar and Kathmandu. So these are the people who come from various parts like Italy, our exhibition is very well known all over India," said Rashi Mehta, an organizer of the exhibition.
Locals look forward to the 'India Haat' every year, as it features diverse range of products under one roof at affordable prices.
"It is very good. I always like coming for this exhibition, so this is very nice. We just entered so I cant say much. But whatever I have seen the products are pretty innovative and really good collection," said Pooja, a visitor at the exhibition.
