Melbourne, Jan. 9 (ANI): A Kenyan athlete recovered remarkably well, after he was tackled by a member of the public during a 10km race in Brazil.
According to the Daily Mail, Edwin Kipsang Rotich won the race after cops restrained the man who had grabbed him and tried to swing him off.
Rotich was leading the race, when he shook off 33-year-old Wallace de Sousa Nogueira, after he ran up to him and attempted to tackle him, News.com.au reported.
Cops on motorbikes quickly surrounded Nogueira, and stopped him before he returned for a second attempt. (ANI)
