Chandigarh, Jan 8 (IANS) After experiencing the coldest day of the last three decades with a maximum temperature of 6.1 degrees Monday, Chandigarh recorded a high of 8.5 degrees Tuesday - lower than that of Shimla's 11.1 degrees Celsius, met officials said here.
The city recorded a low of 1.5 degrees Tuesday morning, the lowest temperature of this season.
The maximum temperature Tuesday was 11 degrees below the average.
Amritsar city in Punjab had a high of 7.4 degrees.
Narnaul in Haryana was the coldest with a minimum temperature of minus 0.7 degrees.
In Punjab, Patiala recorded a low of 2.1 degrees.
