India-Pak cricketers bat for 'bowling out' polio

Islamabad, Jan 6(ANI): Cricketers from both India and Pakistan have come forward to show their support to a campaign against polio and they will be sporting ribbons with 'Bowl Out Polio' inscribed on them when they come out for the third and final one day international in New Delhi on Sunday.

On Saturday, two members of the Pakistan cricket squad turned up to administer polio drops to children at a specially held event in New Delhi, the Express Tribune reports.

Batsmen Younus Khan and Imran Farhat came together for the "Bowl Out Polio" campaign in New Delhi, and administered polio drops to children, it reported.

The electronic periphery boards at the Ferozshah Kotla grounds will also flash the message of "Bowl Out Polio", the paper added.

Joining the teams to appeal for polio eradication will be about 100 children on the stands wearing yellow jackets with polio messages, the paper said.

The '4s' and '6s' cards waved by the crowds will also read "Bowl Out Polio". (ANI)
