Lakhimpur (Assam), Jan.4 (ANI): A trooper of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has been arrested by Assam Police for allegedly raping a handicapped woman.
The trooper, Mohan Singh, was arrested in the state's Lakhimpur District.
State police have also issued a search alert for three others allegedly involved in the incident that took place in Chauldhowa village, about 40 km from Lakhimpur town.
On Thursday, police had arrested a Congress leader in Assam's Chirang District for allegedly attempting to rape a mother of two. (ANI)
