London, Thu, 03 Jan 2013 ANI

London, Jan. 3 (ANI): Looking for a lost remote can take up to two weeks of a television viewer's time over the course of their life, a new study has revealed.

The average time spent searching for remote per week was 5.35 minutes, which amounted to 278.2 minutes or more than four and a half hours a year.

According to the study by discount site netvouchercodes.co.uk, over the course of an average lifespan, the number of hours searching for remote control rocketed to 371.

Which meant that more than two weeks and one day is spent looking for a remote control, the Telegraph reported.

The study, which questioned 1000 people, found that men spent more time searching for the remote than women. Men spent an average of 18.5 days looking for a lost remote control across their lifetime, while women spent just under 12.5 days hunting.

Children hiding the remote was said to be one of the reasons behind the hours of searching. (ANI)
