New Delhi, Jan 3 (ANI): President of Republic of Mauritius, Rajkeswur Purryag, arrived here on Thursday on a seven-day state visit to India.
The visiting dignitary was received by Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur on his arrival here.
The President of Republic of Mauritius will meet his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee and hold talks with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh tomorrow.
Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid are also scheduled to call on President Purryag tomorrow.
The Mauritius President is accompanied by his wife, Aneetah Purryag, and the Ministers of Arts and Culture and of Social Integration and Economic Empowerment, and senior officials.
President Purryag will be the chief guest at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2013 on January 8-9 and will be honoured with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award.
President Purryag will also be visiting Patna, Tirupati and Kochi during his State Visit. In Bihar, he will also visit his ancestral village, Bojeetpore near Patna. (ANI)
