Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani has said that small-scale business is like serving the nation and the interests of these traders must be protected at any cost.
Addressing to a protest rally organized by BJP and traders at Jantar-Mantar in capital, Advani lambasted UPA government for the advocating MNC on the cost of traders in the country.
On the occasion Advani said that the FDI in retail sector should not be allowed and it against the interests of traders in the country. That is why all the political parties had opposed the move inside the parliament but the government is still rigid for providing safe passage to these companies.
He criticized UPA government for its callous attitude towards the common man of the country.
Terming the business men and traders as a part of BJP, Advani said that BJP was incepted in 1980 and within the short span, it has achieved many achievements including the six years government at center under the leadership of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.
He said that the traders have supported BJP from its very inception and party is still with them in their movement against the FDI in retail sector.
Commenting on the recently Assam violence, Advani attacked UPA government for its reluctance in reaching the root of the cause. He said that during his visit to Assam, he observed that it was not a riot or ethnic clash, rather it was a fight between Indian and migrated Bangladeshis.
He had raised the issue in Parliament but government turned the issues in wrong way the results came as the exodus of northeast people from the rest part of the country.
He said that FDI in retail should not be allowed at any cost and traders should not compromise with their demands and goals to oppose the government move.
