V.K. Singh and Kiran Bedi shares dais with Baba Ramdev

Former Army Chief General V.K. Singh and Team Anna member Kiren Bedi on Sunday visited Ramlila maidan to support the movement of yoga guru Baba Ramdev. Baba Ramdev yesterday warned PM Manmohan Singh to come of with an effective strategy for bringing back the black money, passing a strong Lokpal Bill and corruption or get ready for a "big revolution".

"We are facing problems of inflation and economic slowdown. It appears that there is no governance in the country. The only alternative we have is the one offered by Anna Hazare. Every time you fight the powers that be, they will try to dent the image of the movement," Singh said.

He complained the government for not following the Directive Principles of State Policy as written in the Constitution and compared the present situation same as that existed in 1975.

General Singh (retired), who also joined with Team Anna while their protest earlier this month at Jantar Mantar said, corruption is predominant in the country. The farmers who are producing food are not getting to eat for themselves. Farmers are committing suicide, which is really pathetic.

Kiran Bedi, an active member of Team Anna, also joined the yoga guru on the stage earlier today and asked to "form a coalition against corrupt".
