Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty on Wednesday visited Chandgi Ram Akhara for the promotion of their upcoming comedy movie 'Bol Bachchan'. Many wrestlers and coaches from different Akharas were present on the occasion to welcome them.
Abhishek Bachchan during the occasion said that wrestling is an ancient game of India and all the Indian wrestlers who have won medals in International Tournaments have been trained in these Akharas only.
Ajay Devgan gave his good wishes to all the five wrestlers who are going to represent India in the London Olympics 2012 beginning from 27 July. He said that we are hopeful that they will make India proud by winning medals for the country.
Director of the movie, Rohit shetty said that in movie 'Bol Bachchan' the importance of wrestling Akharas has been shown and the main objective to promote the movie through Chandgi Ram Akhara is to make both movie and wrestling reach the masses.
The program was conducted by Mr. Ashok Aggarwal (Vice President, Asian Wrestling Council) after the welcome ceremony of International level wrestlers Neha Rathi (Gold Medalist, Common Wealth Games), Kamlesh (Silver Medalist, Commin Wealth Games), Satyavart (Youth Olympic, Bronze Medalist) etc. . Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgan honored the wrestlers with almonds and wished them great success for the future. Moreover, they also gave milk to all the wrestlers present during the occasion. After having the breakfast, they discussed about wrestling with the wrestlers and coaches.
Shri Jagdish Kaliraman (President, Chandgi Ram Vyayamshala) organized the program successfully. Shri R.P. Singh (Wrestling Promoter), Deepika Kaliraman (National Wrestler), Shri Sehdev Balyan (Sai Coach), Shri Jagroop Singh (Arjun Awardee) and Ms.Kenu Aggarwal welcomed the guests.
