Delhi Police have unearthed a racket, which work for forged railway ticket and arrested a travel agent Mukesh Kumar. Police have seized 70 confirmed tickets of Indian Railway in the name of fictitious persons from his possession.
Sanjay Kumar Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime and Railways said that Mukesh Chaudhary complainant that he did not get the reservation for his journey to Mumbai and he was told by someone that he can get confirmed tickets to Mumbai from a travel agency namely "Sai Shiv Tours and Travels" at Pahar Ganj near New Delhi Railway Station.
He went to the shop and asked for a ticket to Mumbai. A person who was sitting in the office of travel agency gave him a confirmed ticket of Paschim Express Train to the complainant for his journey to Mumbai and charged Rs. 1000 for the ticket of Rs. 414. The ticket was issued on 23/03/2012 for a male passenger of 30 years of age.
Consequently, a raid was conducted at the shop "Sai Shiv Tour and Travels", at Vishkarma Mandir, near New Delhi Railway Station, Pahar Ganj and Mukesh Kumar Rai found sitting at the counter of the shop. During search of the counter, 69 (Sixty Nine) confirmed Railway Tickets of different trains, which were scheduled to depart on 4 July, 2012, for different destinations, recovered.
According to DCP, on interrogation Mukesh revealed that he works for one Lalit Munna Neta and he operates from the office of Sai Shiv Tour and Travels near New Delhi Railway Station. Lalit used to provide confirmed railway tickets of different trains for different places to him. He has dozens of touts at New Delhi Rly. station, who arranged customers for him.
