AMTEX 2012 begins at Pragati Maidan in Delhi

AMTEX 2012 was inaugurated by Dr. M Veerappa Moily, Hon. Minister of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India. Mr.Satish Godbole, Business Head, Motion Control Machine Tools, Siemens Ltd.; Mr.K. Raghunandan, Global Advisor, Murata Machinery HI Japan; Mr.Satish ranade, Vice President, Electronica Machine Tools Ltd.; Mr. Terrence Miranda, Managing Director, Haas Automation India Pvt. Ltd were also present on the occasion.

According to sources, AMTEX is the inimitable exhibition in the Indian machine tools space – expects to generate business enquiries worth Rs 850 crore from its expo to be held from July 27-30, 2012.

"It will be a grand spectacle of the latest advances in Machine Tools and Manufacturing solutions and will provide a superlative stage for interaction between Manufacturers, Suppliers and Users of the growing Indian Market", opined Mr. Cyril Pereira, Managing Director of Triune Exhibitors which is the organizers of AMTEX Exhibitions.

The principal display categories in this expo are metalworking products and services, machine tools, manufacturing systems, precision tools, industrial automation allied technology and general engineering.

Indiamart 8th AMTEX-2012 will witness representation from 16 countries including Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Chezkslovakia, U.S.A, Sweden, Belgium, Spain, Israel, Turkey, Japan, China, Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Singapore. The expo will also have exclusive Chinese, Taiwanese and Korean Pavilions as principal attraction for visitors.

Overall, the expo is exhibiting over 1400 stalls sprawled in Hall Nos. 8,10,11,12 12A at Pragati Maidan.

It is noted that the Indian machine tools industry consists of about 450 manufacturing units, of which about 150 are in the organized sector including some multinational companies which import machines for selling.
