In a bid to decide future course of action with United Progressive Alliance (UPA), the dissatisfied Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is set to convene a party meeting today.
There is a speculation that NCP may leave all ministerial posts and extend its support to the government from outside.
However, UPA President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh have their extra efforts to woo sulking NCP President Sharad Pawar, who is reportedly dissatisfied that UPA government has not awarded him with no.2 seat, which was vacant after Pranab Mukherjee's resignation who leave party for fighting Presidential election.
Congress handed over the no.2 seat to Defence Minister A K Antony, who will sit beside to Prime Minister in Group of Ministers meeting.
After meeting with Sonia and Singh, Pawar and his key party members, who had reportedly resigned from ministerialships, later confirmed that they would not break the coalition, but it is now not confirmed until party reaches on to final outcomes in today's meet.
Earlier, NCP senior leader Praful Patel Saturday said, "NCP is part of the UPA and will remain so."
But, today Party President Sharad Pawar has met so far top leaders of his party including Union Heavy Industries Minister Minister Praful Patel, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, state NCP chief Madhukar Pichad and Home Minister R R Patil to discuss over the future tactic.
