In major mishaps, twenty-six wagons of a goods train derailed in Bihar's Kaimur district damaging tracks. The accidents has resulted a disruption of more than 90 train due to damage of railway line. No casualties were reported in the incidents.
It has been said that all the wagons were loaded from coal, which derailed near Bhabhua railway station. The goods train derailed in Gaya-Mughalsarai section of the East Central Railway last night.
The goods train was coming from Dhanbad to Mugalsarai junction. Sources say that technical fault can be a reason behind the accident.
"Rail traffic on the busy Delhi-Howrah route is badly affected. Rescue operations will take 15 hours before normal services resume," said Anup Kumar, divisional railway manager of Mughalsarai.
According to sources it seems there was a technical fault in the rail line. But the real cause of the derailment would be ascertained after an inquiry.
About 90 trains have been diverted to various routes due to the accidents. Many Rajdhani trains are also diverted due to the accidents.
