Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on June 19 turned to 42 years. The party workmen and executives are celebrating his birthday with full enthusiasm. Some of the local leaders in Delhi at his Delhi residence gathered and distribute sweets and enjoys music and crackers.
But, Rahul is absent to join this celebration as he is reportedly in London with his some close friends.
According to sources, Rahul went to London on June 4, after attending the Congress Working Committee meeting.
His absence is quite notable at this crucial moment, as at present Congress led UPA government is facing the President election fray. And there were speculation that there were chances of cross voting and it was also rumored that he might be announced as new PM while Manmohan Singh may go for President election, but all speculations went wrong and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee is a presidential candidate from UPA government, who is getting strong back up from allies as well as other parties.
The fans and supporters today prayed for his long life and to become India's Prime Minister one day, sources say.
