In a bid to strengthen his support for his movement to retrieve black money stashed away in foreign banks, yoga guru Baba Ramdev met Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav here today.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singh was also present during the meeting.

In the continuation for getting his support for his movement Baba Ramdev earlier on Monday met Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad where he got his assurance.

Baba Ramdev had earlier said the motive behind his meetings with leaders of various political outfits was to build a consensus on the black money and corruption issues.

Baba Ramdev said that he would meet Left, UPA and NDA alliance partners to get support for his campaign to bring back black money stashed in tax havens abroad.

"I am meeting all the parties to create a political consensus on the matter," said Baba Ramdev.

"This movement is not against a person or a political party. It is for the benefit of the country," he added.

He also informed that soon he would also meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on the black money issue.

He had earlier met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Gadkari, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh and Akali Dal supremo Parkash Singh Badal.

Baba Ramdev has been at loggerheads with the government over a range of national issues for the past many months.

The outspoken yoga guru had also called on the government last year to pursue billions of dollars in illegal funds abroad and the withdrawal of high denomination bank notes.
